This Autumn the Visual Arts Platform at the ACF will present the third of its UK and Austrian collaborations: Aldo Giannotti (Vienna) and Tomaž Kramberger (London). For this event, the programme will leave the premises of the ACF London for the first time to venture into new territory. The curators have invited two artists who have already collaborated to subvert the concept of an exhibition as we know it. During the Frieze weekend of 2011 the two artists will investigate the concepts of presenting contemporary art in a witty and playful way.
In his performative projects, Aldo Giannotti explores the economics of art outside of the usual institutional boundaries, and creates new artistic alternatives. Questions around the notions of family structures, socio-political conflicts, religions, and relations of power are often the core of his research and practice. Tomaž Kramberger's practice refers to the antagonistic notions of desire and control, which he finds, constructs and exposes in objects, sculptures and site-specific installations.
Following performances 15-18 October - locations will be announced online and at www.tomaz-kramberger.com
Screening: 19 October, 6pm, ACF London
