WOMAD festival in Malmesbury celebrates the many forms of music, art, dance from around the world. This year they have invited two very different Austrian musical acts to perform at the festival.

Celebrated Austrian theremin player and composer Dorit Chrysler returns to WOMAD for a second year to perform concerts, give talks and theremin workshops in collaboration with CERN at the Physic’s Pavillion at this years WOMAD festival.

Austrian brass and woodwind ensemble Federspiel take their inspiration from Austrian folk music. The group was formed in 2004 by seven students from the University for Music and the Performing Arts Vienna.
