The Bruckner Orchester Linz returns to London with Mahler’s epic Second Symphony – a work that explores the depths of human emotion and ends with a powerful hymn to transcendent renewal. The orchestra is joined by Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, culminating in a heart-stirring and divine choral finale.
This is the first time an international orchestra has performed Mahler’s Second Symphony at Cadogan Hall, and as Mahler said of his most enduringly popular work: “You are clubbed to the ground and then lifted to the highest heights on angels’ wings.”
