The ACF London presents a special double bill of films by Austrian filmmaker Hans Weingartner.  Born 1970 in Feldkirch, Voralberg, Austria, Weingartner is a well respected Austrian author, director and producer of films. He attended the Austrian Association of Cinematography and earned a diploma as a camera assistant.  After several years of practical experience he completed a postgraduate degree at the Academy of Media Arts KHM in Cologne, Germany.  He has also studied neuroscience at the University of Vienna and graduated from the neurosurgical department at the Free University of Berlin’s Steglitz Clinic.

This is Weingartner’s directorial debut together with co-director and screenplay writer Tobias Amann. The film follows three friends, Kati, Jochen and Lukas, who take magic mushrooms. One of them, Lukas, does not come down from the experience. Unable to filter and interpret sensations, Lukas experiences fear, inner voices, and paranoia, and drifts away from reality.
