The East End Film Festival showcases hot new talent and homegrown films alongside larger independent releases and special events, informing and inspiring a new generation of filmmakers and audiences from across London and beyond, and raising the profile of this vibrant and diverse area - London’s East End.
This year the festival will be showing the Austrian film For a Moment, Freedom which tells of the odyssey of three Iranians and a Kurdish group of refugees. Convincing actors – many of them non-professionals – together with a confident visual style make For a Moment, Freedom a powerful feature film debut for the young Austrian-Iranian filmmaker Arash T. Riahi.
The film will be shown at the Rio Cinema, Saturday 24 April, 3.45pm
