ACF 60th Anniversary Programme
This new ensemble champions the compositions and stories of musicians who emigrated from Germany and Austria in the 1930s and 40s. It began as a research and performance project ‘Singing a Song in a Foreign Land’ at the Royal College of Music, led by Norbert Meyn. The concert celebrates the contribution of Austrian émigrés, especially musicians and composers to the ACF’s programme and the wider UK cultural landscape. The programme will feature vocal and instrumental music by Ernst Toch, Hans Gál, Robert Kahn and Peter Gellhorn as well as arrangements of Folk Songs by Ferdinand Rauter.
