For one night, capital cities across Europe will present simultaneous celebrations of writing and reading on European Literature Night, and the British Library will once again host an engaging evening of readings from and conversations with a selection of writers, both emerging and established. Austrian writer Paulus Hochgatterer will be among the participating authors. Born in 1961, Hochgatterer lives and works in Vienna as a writer and child psychiatrist. He has been awarded several prizes, among them the European Literature Prize 2009 for his novel Die Süsse des Lebens (The Sweetness of Life).
