The London Jewish Cultural Centre (LJCC) together with Sussex University’s Centre for German-Jewish Studies (CGJS) and the Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR) are holding a two day seminar at Ivy House, North London, on Wednesday and Thursday 12 and 13 September 2012.

As we approach the 80th anniversary of Hitler’s rise to power, the three organisations have come together to reflect on the lives of the Jewish German and Austrian refugees who fled Nazism and their remarkable contribution to life in Britain. The seminar will celebrate their cultural legacy.

Presenters include: Edith Argy, Patrick Bade, Dr Edgar Feuchtwanger, Trudy Gold, Dr Anthony Grenville, Maya Jacobs-Wallfisch, Rabbi Rodney Mariner, Allan Morgenthau, Dorli Neale, Michael Newman, Kit Plaschkes, Dr Gideon Reuveni, Edward Timms, Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg and Claudia Zimmermann.
