The ACF London hosts a special screening of the acclaimed 1991 Tyne Side and Border TV documentary on internment on the Isle of Man. By the end of 1940, 14,000 ‘enemy aliens’ were interned on the Isle of Man, among them many German, Austrian, Polish and Italian academics, artists and musicians.
This documentary is a moving and evocative account that traces the experience of internment and the contribution of the internees to the Island’s history and culture.
