Organised in conjunction with Alessandro Carlucci (University of Oxford) and the Fondazione Istituto Gramsci, Rome, this workshop will discuss topics such as the political economy of languages, perceptions and representations of multilingualism, the sociology of foreign language teaching and learning, the role of language education in creating a multilingual Europe, EU language policies and the role of translation among other topics.
