The Nomadic Village is a temporary ten day settlement set up on a vacant lot in County Durham. The project will erect mobile artists’ homes/ateliers which will form the structure of the ‘Village’. Artists will come together to work in this autonomous environment to stimulate creativity and exchange while also attracting local visitors to observe and participate in the process.

Their activities will culminate in an exhibition of works produced during the ten days. The project will be led by Austrian artist Klaus Mahring.
