The Perutz lecture will be given by Professor Andrew M L Lever this year. He is Professor of Infectious Diseases and Honorary Consultant Physician at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. His lecture on retroviruses will focus on his research interests including fundamental studies of the structure of some of the retroviral molecular components through to the uses of retroviruses as gene vectors for gene therapy and understanding how they replicate in order to try and find new therapies.
