In 2005 a group of citizens in Vienna asked themselves who had lived in their street – the Servitengasse – in 1938 and what had happened to them under National Socialism. In 2008, they unveiled a memorial to the 462 people from that one street who were persecuted as Jews. Members of the initiative will talk about the results of their research, their experiences of working on the project, and Holocaust remembrance in Austria today.
