Simon Reitmaier will perform a special concert of works spanning the breadth of Central European musical tradition. The programme includes works by J.S. Bach, turn-of-the-century pieces by R. Strauss and C. Debussy-Syrinx, as well as works from WWI and contemporary works by Austrian composer Werner Pirchner.
Simon studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, has won numerous national and international competitions and performed with orchestras such as Sinfonietta Baden and Niederösterreichische Tonkünstler. In June 2013 he made his debut at Carnegie Hall with the Mahler String Quartet.
