This year the UK Jewish Film Festival presents the UK premiere of Das Vaterspiel (Kill Daddy Goodnight), by Graz-born filmmaker Michael Glawogger. The film won the Grand Diagonale prize for Best Feature Film earlier this year. The film tells the story of two very different characters. Ratz, who develops a computer game which allows him to act out a fantasy of killing his father and Jonas who has devoted his entire life tracking the Nazi official who killed his father and remains in hiding. When Ratz is asked to help renovate a cellar he is forced to confront uncomfortable questions about history and his own filial relationships to his father.
