Formed in October 2010 ENSEMBLE AMORPHA is a London based chamber music ensemble dedicated to the performance of contemporary music with a focus on living composers from around the world. Ensemble Amorpha places particular focus also on cross genre and multi-art collaborations and projects. Its members are all extremely successful in their own right both nationally and internationally performing regularly as soloists and orchestral musicians in the UK's leading orchestras such as the LSO, Philharmonia, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and London Sinfonietta to name just some examples.
With the aim of delivering the performance of contemporary music in an innovative way making it as accessible as possible to as many people as possible, Ensemble Amorpha has created works for the concert stage, theatre, circus, film, dance and opera. We are proud to have commissioned over 30 new works so far and to have given in excess of 40 UK or World Premieres.
Wednesdays at the Forge is curated by Andrea Rauter, former Music Project Manager at the ACF London. Luke Styles participated in the ACF's contemporary music platform Soundings in 2012 and Ensemble Amorpha have performed at the ACF London several times with their Global Austria concerts.
