A book launch and celebration of the life and work of Leopold Kohr with the author Michael Breisky, publisher John Coleman, author and former MP Sir Richard Body and Joh Papworth, founder of the Fourth World Review.

Based on the author’s „Der Kompass im Kopf – Menschliches Mass und Politik im 21. Jahrhundert“, published in Austria in 2003, the new book by Michael Breisky develops the author’s concept into a holistic and pragmatic world-view. It is aimed at readers who wish to widen their understanding of modern society, globalization and Western values, stressing the idea of the ‘human scale’, coined by Leopold Kohr (1909 – 1994). Kohr was an Austro-American philosopher and seems to be one of the least known geniuses of the 20th century. The launch of this book will also commemorate Leopold Kohr on what would have been his 100th birthday.

Michael Breisky, born 1940 in Lisbon, is a career-ambassador, who retired in 2005 as Austria’s representative in New York. As a board member of the Leopold-Kohr-Academy in Salzburg, he lectured in 2008 at several Chinese universities.
