Young Austria was an organisation founded in Britain in 1938 by young refugees who had fled from National Socialism. Throughout the Second World War Young Austria offered its members support and practical help, organised social and cultural activities and worked for the reestablishment of an independent democratic Austrian state after the end of the war.
The evening will feature a short film and the launch of a new book in English by editor Sonja Frank. Charmian Brinson and Marietta Bearman will talk about Young Austria and its umbrella refugee organisation in Britain, the Austrian Centre.
Due to high demand please ensure you have a confirmed booking before attending the event.
