The Schubert Society of Great Britain presents a special concert of Viennese zither playing. Cornelia Mayer studied
zither at the Vienna Konservatorium and teaches at the ‘Musikschule Wien’. She returns to London to give a concert of music by, amongst others, Franz Schubert, Carl Umlauf, Anton Karas and Hans Lanner (the Imperial Chamber Zither Player of the last Emperor Karl and Empress Zita). Cornelia will be accompanying her daughter Clara (soprano) in ‘Volksweisen aus Österreich’.
