Based on Marlen Haushofer’s best-selling novel, the film directed by Julian Roman Pölsler, set in a spectacularly beautiful Austrian mountain landscape, tells a contemporary Robinson Crusoe story. One morning a woman wakes up in a mountain cabin and finds herself confronted with an inexplicable phenomenon. She is suddenly surrounded by an invisible and impenetrable wall, behind which there is apparently no more life. Accompanied by a dog, a cow and a cat she meets the new challenges of solitude and survival.
