For a moment, freedom

For a moment, freedom

Academy award nomination screening

Thursday 11 February 2010, 7.00pm | Austrian Cultural Forum London

For a Moment, Freedom tells of the odyssey of three Iranians and a Kurdish group of refugees. Convincing actors – many of them non-professionals – together with a confident visual style make For a Moment, Freedom
a powerful feature film debut for the young Austrian-Iranian filmmaker Arash T. Riahi.

Part of the Academy Award Nomination Screenings:

Following Stefan Ruzowitzky’s Oscar success with The Counterfeiters in 2008 and Götz Spielmann’s 2009 nomination for Revanche, Austria has another two directors in competition for a nomination at this year’s Academy Awards. The ACF’s Cineclub presents Michael Haneke’s The White Ribbon (Germany) and Arash T. Riahi’s For a Moment Freedom (Austria).
