A performative talk by the artists Nina Höchtl and Ruth Kaaserer
For the first time in history, women have entered the boxing ring at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. By contrast, women have been fighting in Lucha Libre (wrestling in Mexico) since the 1940’s.
Artists Nina Höchtl and Ruth Kaaserer will talk about their ongoing research and about women who destabilize male occupied sports such as boxing and Lucha Libre. Höchtl’s works in relationship to Lucha Libre are part of the upcoming exhibition All Work No Play at the ACF London this Autumn.
