Austrian actress Johanna Lonsky narrates a programme with musical ensemble Counterpoise, comprising Alexander Wood (violin), Deborah Calland (trumpet), Kyle Horch (saxophone) and Iain Farrington (piano). Their programme will mix the genres of music, spoken text and (accompanied) silent film, to present a compellingly macabre sequence embracing the haunted sensibility of Edgar Allan Poe, vampire myth and the sultry self-indulgence of Cleopatra’s court.
