About Sound Park Austria

Sound Park Austria, a collaboration between the Austrian Cultural Forum London and the arts venue „The Forge“ in Camden Town, introduces Austrian artists in the categories Jazz, New Music, Contemporary/Experimental, Pop, World, Vocal, Electronic to the UK music scene. In connection with local acts, the aim is to enforce cultural ties and networks between the UK and Austria. Sound Park Austria strives to suggest innovative and creative projects, presenting a clear vision and strong identity. The platform is curated by Philipp M. Moll.

Friedrich Cerha wins Siemens Music Prize

Friedrich Cerha has been awarded the international Ernst von Siemens Music Prize 2012. The Austrian composer, born in 1926, will be awarded the prize, valued at €200,000, for his life's work.  In addition Soundings composer Luke Bedford was awarded the Composers' Prize.

Theater an der Wien announces the creation of a 'Junges Ensemble' for singers of exceptional talent

Junges Ensemble seeks to develop new talent and allow them to gain valuable experience working as part of Theater an der Wien!  Openings for soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone / bass-baritone and bass are available for periods between 2-7 years.
