Join us for a night of performance and poetry when three of Austria’s most remarkable contemporary poets, Andreas Unterweger, Patricia Mathes and Carla Lorenz, come to London as part of the European Poetry Festival curated by SJ Fowler.

This special evening celebrates one of the continent’s most dynamic and original literary scenes. New collaborations with British compatriots will be presented, made for the night, ably supported by many poets visiting the festival also collaborating.

Cleaning, the newest publication by Austrian art duo Honey & Bunny, takes a closer look at everyday life in Western societies. Culture takes place every day: in every household, with every bite, with every piece of clothing; it is negotiated through the products we choose and how we use them. The book sets out to highlight cleaning as a cultural technique through which culture is lived and nature is vanquished, through which hierarchies are created, social rankings manifested, and traditions implemented.

Join us for the final event in the Touch Nature exhibition series. This is also a great opportunity to visit the exhibition out of hours before it closes on 10 July.

Students from the Royal Academy of Music return to the ACF London with an all-Schubert programme, celebrating the close relationship of the composer to his poet-friends, which resulted in some of the most moving and exhilarating songs ever written in the Lieder repertoire.

The programme will be introduced by Richard Stokes, Professor of Lieder at the Royal Academy of Music.

Join curator Rodrigo Chaveiro for an Artist Talk Event and a walkthrough of the 2026 Annual Exhibition, Degrees of Contact. ​The artists will speak about their work and unpack their studio practice, material focus, and the specific influence of their cultural heritage. ​It is an opportunity to interact with the artists, ask questions on how these works were made, and understand how their practices operate within the broader international framework of the Art Embassy Network and our partner institutions.

Led Bib are one of the UK’s most daring and acclaimed bands, smashing through genre boundaries with a sound that fuses jazz, rock, improv and noise into something entirely their own. Formed in 2003 by Austrian drummer and composer Mark Holub, the group have released 11 albums, toured internationally, and picked up major accolades - including a Mercury Prize nomination for their breakout record Sensible Shoes. Celebrated Dutch fortepianist Ronald Brautigam makes his début with The Mozartists in two of Mozart’s charming early concertos. These are framed by the popular Serenata notturna, scored for the unusual combination of strings and timpani, and the effervescent Divertimento in D major, K.251, allegedly composed as a 25th birthday present for his sister.

Discover the breathtaking landscapes of one of Austria’s greatest painters, Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller (1793–1865) at the National Gallery in London this summer.

Stroll through forests, scale rugged peaks and marvel at majestic skies across Austria and Sicily. Take in the great trees of Vienna’s Prater Park, the magnificent lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut region and the tranquil hills and ruins of Sicily. This is the first ever exhibition dedicated to Waldmüller's landscapes in the UK. The exhibition has been organised by the Belvedere, Vienna in partnership with the National Gallery, London.

Together with talented students from the Royal College of Music, we are continuing our popular concert series at the ACF Salon. Award-winning musicians will explore European musical culture in all its dazzling variety.

The Austrian Cultural Forum invites you to the fourth event in the Hella Pick Lecture series in cooperation with the Sussex Weidenfeld Institute of Jewish Studies.

The evening, entitled Charting a Landscape of Antisemitism and Radicalisation Online and Offline, will feature Dr Julia Ebner from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and Professor Gerald Lamprecht from the Austrian Academy of Sciences. They will present their research on radicalisation and antisemitism, examining how our digital societies and media landscape affect the prevention, emergence and spread of extremism and disinformation. Their presentations will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by the director of the Weidenfeld Institute, Professor Gideon Reuveni.

The Austrian Cultural Forum London invites professional and aspiring translators to participate in the sixth biennial competition held for the best German to English translations of contemporary Austrian prose writing. This year’s texts for translation are excerpts from “Sie wollen uns erzählen” by Birgit Birnbacher and “Tod bei den Salzburger Festspielen” by Sophie Reyer.

The jury for this year's competition is: Jamie Bulloch (translator, head of jury), Shaun Whiteside (translator), Tina Hartas (founder, Trip Fiction), Ella Harold (editor, Fig Tree).
