In this celebratory concert on what would have been Alfred Brendel’s 95th birthday, musician friends from several generations gather to honour his legacy.

Sir Simon Rattle conducts a unique orchestra of musicians close to Brendel, and the programme features works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert. Performers include Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Lisa Batiashvili, Adrian Brendel, Dame Imogen Cooper, Lucy Crowe, Till Fellner, Tim Horton, Paul Lewis, Sir András Schiff, Dame Harriet Walter and the Takács Quartet, amongst others.

All proceeds are in support of the Alfred Brendel Young Musician’s Trust.
