We are thrilled to present a special showcase by UK-Austrian design duo HagenHinderdael.
Pairing product design with art, HagenHinderdael are an award-winning creative practice who work at the intersect of sustainable design and innovative technology to create 3D printed sculptural products and immersive installations. Merging recycled materials with traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology, the designers Sofia Hagen and Lisa Hinderdael produce elements, feature installations, and placemaking schemes that push the boundaries of engineering whilst bearing the incentive of a continuous afterlife.
A collaboration with Austrian 3D print specialists Concrete3D, CONTOUR is a 3D printed concrete bench combining environmentally friendly printing technology with bespoke design. Launched in March 2022 at the Vorarlberger Architektur Institut, the feature bench has been developed with sustainability and its local context in mind: taking inspiration from the organic curvature and topographical layers of the Vorarlberger landscape.
