After a successful launch of the Ragged Music Festival in 2019, the second edition of the event will take place in October. The curators Pavel Kolesnikov and Samson Tsoy have devised three intimate, but socially distanced recitals, bringing together some of the finest musicians in Europe featuring the highly acclaimed pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja.
For decades now, Elisabeth Leonskaja has been among the most celebrated pianists of our time. In a world dominated by the media, she has remained true to herself and to her music.
The festival takes place at the Ragged School Museum in London’s Mile End - the light-filled, unrenovated rooms at the top of the building create an intimate atmosphere to experience three sparkling recitals.
Together with Elisabeth Leonskaja, Nicolas Baldeyrou, Alina Ibragimova and Andrei Ioniță they play Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Messiaen, Schubert, Shostakovich and Stravinsky.
