Lieder nach Gedichten von Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Goethe provides the literary starting point, though in this instance of a programme entirely devoted to Schubert – a composer whose admiration for his older contemporary was as limitless as his own talent, here celebrating his 221st birthday.

Austrian pianist Christoph Berner is joined by his frequent musical partner, the German tenor Werner Güra as well as Julia Kleiter for this special concert.
