Rotten Sun is the collaboration between Mia Zabelka (e-violin, electronic devices, alien objects) and the DJ and artist Lee Adams. Inspired by the eponymous Bataille text, they conduct extreme sonic experiments on a gleaming razors edge, balancing quantum noise with psychoacoustics, reflecting back the blank stare of the void. In 2018 they collaborated with Kira O’Reilly on the multimedia project the Art of Mirrors referencing both the 1973 super 8 film by Derek Jarman and John Dee's experiments with obsidian mirrors and the summoning of Angels for Forte Festival, Portugal.
