She is the “Custodian of the Crown” of a bygone monarchy: Princess Margareta of Romania. Lobbying for a constitutional recognition of her family’s former royal status she has been pursuing a grand, sometimes funny and mostly deadly serious protocol. The main feature in her endeavours is the “Royal Train”, an annual train journey through the far-flung regions of Romania full of pomp and protocol allowing Margareta and her husband Prince Radu to 'connect with her people’.
Austria & Romania, Romanian with English subtitles, 2019, 94min, directed by Johannes Holzhausen
