The British Flute Society, together with the Royal Northern College of Music, will host a convention featuring recitals, workshops and talks. They have invited Austrian flautist Elisabeth Most to hold a lecture recital on a Helmut Neumann (born 1938) concerto that he composed and dedicated to Elisabeth Most. Neumann was one of the leading composers of the 3rd Viennese School while Most has been the recipient of several awards including the 3rd Viennese International Competition.
