Our final screening in the Dr Mabuse series presents Fritz Lang's final film. The 1000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse finds his diabolical Weimar vilain resurfacing in the Cold War era. In 1960s Germany Dr. Mabuse is linked to the actions of a criminal gang whose methodology resembles that of the same villainous mastermind who gripped Berlin with his menace in the years preceding Hitler. Dr. Mabuse uses hypnotized victims and the surveillance equipment of a Nazi-era bugged hotel to steal nuclear technology from a visiting American industrialist.
