First UK cinema screening for new Salzburg opera production

A story of love and fidelity put to the test, the opera Così Fan Tutte by Mozart, performed at the prestigious Salzburg Festival 2009 and filmed in high definition, is screening for the first time in selected UK and Irish cinemas from 16 November to 21 December 2009.

This new production of Così Fan Tutte was the concluding part of the German director Claus Guth’s Mozart/Da Ponte cycle at the Salzburg Festival which started with Le Nozze di Figaro in 2006 and was followed by Don Giovanni in 2008.

It is the latest event in the ‘Best of Europe’ Opera and Ballet series distributed by leading UK alternative content distributor More2Screen and will be followed by a live screening of Teatro alla Scala’s glittering open night performance of Carmen, the launch production of the Milan-based opera house’s 09/10 season, on 7 December 2009.
