As part of the 10th Flatpack Film Festival in Birmingham, the festival will present Slide Movie – a unique media installation by the internationally revered Austrian new media artist Gebhard Sengmüller. While Flatpack is predominantly a film festival it also explores the arts more broadly, delving into the intersection where film rubs up against other art forms. Slide Movie is one of Sengmüller’s most lauded works. In a seamless blending of art and technology he creates a playful and thoughtful installation which uses technology from a bygone era.
Gebhard will deliver a talk about the work followed by a drinks reception on Wednesday 20 April, at 5pm.
