Eye Music Trust presents its flagship Colourscape Music Festival on Clapham Common in London in the newly designed 70 chamber "Festival Two" Colourscape. We are excited to announce that Austrian musician Mia Zabelka will be joining the Lawrence Casserley Improvisation group, performing live on 9 September. Expect free improvisation in duos, trios and tuttis.

The festival site is on Clapham Common near the Windmill pub SW4 9DE. Nearest access on to the common: Windmill Rd and Rookery Rd.


FESTIVAL DIARY:
- Saturday September 9th: 12.30 to 4.30pm
Lawrence Casserley Improvisation group - with vocalist, Viv Corringham; bassist, Dom Lash; sax player, Massimo Magee; pianist, Yoko Miura; violinist, Mia Zabelka. Free improvisation in duos, trios and tuttis. PLUS Demi Spriggs - ethnographic artist and performer plays sound loopings, pedal guitar and neo folk.

- Sunday Sept 10th: 12.30 to 4.30pm
Symphony of Elements. An afternoon of free improvisation on instruments of Air; Water; Earth. Performers include Ansuman Biswas, Beibei Wang, Sylvia Hallett and Michael Ormiston with computer musician David Stevens. Look out for amplified tree branches, tuned flower pots and aquaphones.

- Monday 11th to Thursday 14th September
Colourscape open to the public lunchtimes 12 to 1pm only - reduced price entrance.

- Friday 15th September
Colourscape open to the public 12 to 5pm for a special "Quiet" day without music - reduced price entrance.

- Saturday Sept 16th: 12.30 to 4.30pm
'How far away is a Rainbow?. Our 2018 commission by David Sutton-Anderson and Avril Anderson is an exploration and celebration of rainbows through stories and myths from different cultures and science. Sounds Positive Ensemble plus dancer

- Sunday Sept 17th: 12.30 to 4.30pm
Everything is Churning and Opening (our 2023 Eye Music Rawsthorn commission) by Neil Luck with ARCO Ensemble moving around the space. A continuously mutating stew of sound and activity, the piece transforms Colourscape into a space of shifting emotional states, effects, musical densities, colours and weights in an unending sonic squeeze.
