A Concert of Works by Composers Who Escaped the Nazis

  • Sun 26 Nov 2023
  • 7:30PM

Discover an evening of music by composers who were persecuted by the Nazi regime and who fled to Britain or had strong links there.

The EchoSpore project at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, led by Professor Florence Millet, and Norbert Meyn’s Ensemble Émigré (informed by his research at the Royal College of Music) are two initiatives that aim to revitalise these composers' works in performance.

The evening will be introduced by Shirli Gilbert, Professor of Modern Jewish History at UCL and you are invited to view an exhibition in the foyer before and after the concert, in which you can find out about the composers and their stories.
