Don't miss this scintillating climax to Ligeti Day: the remarkable premiere of 14 new tributes to Ligeti by composers including Xiaoyong Chen, Rolf Hind and Emily Hazrati.

The world premiere of new pieces inspired by Ligeti's Etudes, played by the celebrated Ligeti Quartet as the culmination of a day programmed by the ensemble to celebrate 100 years since the composer's birth.

As a part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of György Ligeti's birth, the programme includes a new piece 'Entasis', composed by his son Lukas Ligeti.

Earlier in the Festival, on Monday 19 June, Pierre-Laurent Aimard plays the complete original Etudes.
