Join us for a special launch event to celebrate the exhibition publication THE BLUE, THE PINK, THE IMMATERIAL, THE VOID!
Curators Rosa Abbott and Krishna Shanti have produced a wonderful documentation of the exhibition and gone further exploring the theme of the technological sublime through the inclusion of texts by Axel Stockburger and Betti Marenko and a short story by Georgina Voss.
During the launch, Georgina Voss will present a performative version of her short story ‘Flare’, accompanied by visuals. The curators will also give an informal tour of the exhibition and introduce its concepts and artists.
Using a framework of the Technological Sublime to reflect upon the experienced present, THE BLUE, THE PINK, THE IMMATERIAL, THE VOID presents the work of 14 early-career artists based in London and Vienna. Spanning performance, painting, sculpture, drawing, sound and digital media, the exhibition and publication explore how varying forms of sublime can manifest through artworks as technological phenomena and experience.
This exhibition is part of our curatorial residency programme in partnership with Central Saint Martins and the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna.
The publication was produced with the kind support of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport (BMKÖS).
The exhibition ends on Friday 22 July 2022.
